Introduction, Specifications & Pricing
TYLT were one of the first companies to send me mobile batteries, so it was a company that I fell for because I used their batteries for quite a while when I first received them for testing. This was mainly because of how functional and stylish they were, and even to this day they still are. TYLT hasn't released an ugly product yet, continuing this with the Energi 3K Battery Pack that we're testing here today.
TYLT has a massive product range for the tech obsessed like myself, and hopefully you reading this wherever you might be, but today we're looking at the Energi 3K Battery Pack. What we have here is a very petite 3000mAh portable battery that includes a tucked-away micro-USB cable. We also have a normal USB port which means we can charge two devices at the same time, one through the cable attached to the Energi 3K itself, and another through the normal USB port.
We have a total output voltage of between 4.75V and 5.25V, with output current sitting at 2A. To charge up the TYLT Energi 3K, you'll need to set aside between 3 to 4 hours. When it comes to dimensions, this is where TYLT has it in the bag - just 14.3 x 65 x 103 mm, or 0.56 x 2.5 x 4.05 inches. This is tiny enough to fit inside of your pocket, or bag. This makes the TYLT Energi 3K a device that can be taken anywhere, which is going to see some great uses over my week or so with the device.
TYLT offers the Energi 3K in three different colors: blue, gray and red. The one we have today is blue, which looks quite striking. As for price, you can buy it directly from TYLT's website for $59.99.
Taking It Out of the Box
The package that the TYLT Energi 3K Battery Pack comes in is quite detailed, something I like about TYLT products. We have the beautiful blue design shown off all over the package, especially around the sides - something we're going to take a closer look at below.
As you can see, on the front of the package, we have everything we need to know. We can see the Energi 3K itself peering through the front of the package. Flipping it onto its back, we have more details on the Energi 3K, ranging from the 3000mAh internal battery, to its slim line design and 2 AMP circuit that is capable of charging two devices simultaneously.
In the package, we have the TYLT Energi 3K Battery Pack, a micro-USB to USB cable, warranty guide, a satisfaction guarantee from TYLT, and a user guide.
When I talked about the detail that TYLT put into its package, you can see here as we get up close and personal that there has been some serious work put into it. There's absolutely no need for it, but you know what - I love it. It gives off an awesome first impression, something I love. It also feels great to the touch, again not that it matters, but TYLT has goes down to micro details on all of its products, even the packaging.
This is the TYLT Energi 3K Battery Pack out of the box, with its embedded cable pulled out.
Again, but slightly closer.
From this angle, we can see the Input port, Output port, and the embedded USB cable.
Now for a tour of the ports, where first up we have the Input and Output ports.
On the side, we have the embedded USB cable.
On the other side, we have the power button and LED notification.
In this shot, you can see the embedded USB cable, when it's pulled out.
